Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using PLINTH, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

PLINTH is a tool for tracking investment properties, leases, tenants, rent payments, expenses, and maintenance. It is provided for your personal record-keeping. PLINTH is not a substitute for legal, accounting, tax, or financial advice. PLINTH does not collect, process, or hold rent payments or security deposits; you continue to handle tenant payments through your own bank or payment method.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use PLINTH. One email address may only be associated with one account role (landlord or tenant); attempting to register the same email under both roles is not permitted.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • PLINTH offers paid subscription tiers (Small, Medium, and Large) with the limits and prices shown on the Pricing page. Current prices are $7/month for Small, $20/month for Medium, and $50/month for Large, taxes included.
  • Every new paid subscriber receives a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends, and you may cancel at any time during the trial.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and auto-renew until cancelled.
  • Cancel at any time from your Profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
  • Prices may change with reasonable advance notice.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the data you put into PLINTH (property details, photos, documents, lease drafts, etc.). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer or attempt to bypass security; (b) use the service for unlawful activity; (c) upload malware; (d) abuse, scrape, or overload our infrastructure; (e) resell access to the service without permission; (f) use PLINTH to process or hold rent payments or security deposits on behalf of others.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for non-payment.

8. Disclaimers

PLINTH is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Calculations (cash flow, returns, etc.) are estimates based on the data you enter and should be verified before relying on them for financial decisions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PLINTH and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
